I never thought I’d be part of anything that even sounded like an MLM. And now… here I am: Sharing something I genuinely love, being paid for it, and doing it in a way that feels aligned, spacious, and sovereign.
But is Enagic (The company that created Kangen Water) an MLM? What does that mean and what’s really going on?
This is the conversation I wish someone had shared with me when I first heard about the opportunity to work with water - not hype, not shame - just truth, nuance, and permission to make up your own mind.
The first time I told my mom about Enagic
The first time I told my mom about Enagic, full of excitement, I hoped to receive words of encouragement. Instead I was met with link after link warning me it was a scam and that I would lose all my money.
This affected me so much that I thought, “Aw, okay, it’s too good to be true I guess,” and went on living my broke traveler life. I wasn't willing to conform to traditional employment systems and craved freedom.
It took years of observing the community and the person I followed selling the water to shift my perspective. I realized it’s actually real and true - just very different from my mom’s values. I separated myself from her worldview, stopped following her fear, and started talking to the people who were genuinely doing this work and resonated with me. I saw that the initial excitement I felt was safe to hold onto. This is incredible work and an amazing system.
What followed was me finding a way to start - and never once needing to consider getting a job again. The day I started changed my life and my relationship with water. It set me free in ways I’ll never be able to fully describe. It allowed me to live the abundance, fulfillment and connection to community I knew in my soul was possible.
Imagine if I had stuck with my mom’s beliefs and the dark articles - my life would look very different.
This is why I’m writing this - to share my perspective as someone you might resonate with. I believe in the power of honest conversations around controversial or societally triggering topics for the collective.
If you’d like to have a call about working with Kangen water or want any specific info, just message me. I’m happy to share - and if it resonates, it would be an honor to work together.
Why Some Don’t Succeed with Enagic (And What’s Really Going On)
Let’s be honest for a moment - of course it is easier to blame our lack of success on external reasons rather than take full personal ownership over our shortcomings. The reality of Enagic is that the system works 100%, and has worked for countless distributors all over the world who have built a business sharing Kangen Water, which I can attest to from my personal experience. I invested, made my investment back in 80 days, and from there it has been profit. I have experienced the personal liberation of being able to make 5-figure months after just over a year of starting my business. (To compare: in regular businesses, where you build everything from the ground up, you make back your investment on average after two to three years - and then become profitable.)
Debunking the Myth: Can You Actually Lose Money in Enagic?
Anyone who is claiming they lost money in Enagic is getting something confused. This is not a mandala or pyramid system in which you put money in without getting anything back and then lose that money. In our work, you receive products that are absolutely life-changing - and get a free business opportunity alongside them. Even if the business were not to work out for you, the investment into your health is worth it for the money. My Kangen Water is the only water I have been wanting to drink since I first tasted it. To me personally, no other water compares. I feel privileged to have this water in my life, and to be able to have all that this business and our community is - for free - and I feel happy for anyone who gets to make an investment in their waters.
Is Enagic Really Ethical? Here’s Why It Stands Out
Let’s talk about company ethics. What sounds more ethical to you:
A company that runs ads and online systems, without the customer really having someone to turn to in case they need support?
OR A company that chooses to pass on the campaigns and pays people directly, creating community and ensuring their customers have a point person forever?
The reality is that every company has a marketing budget - that’s simple business. I actually think the values of the founder of Enagic are much more ethical than those of most companies. Why do we feel off about distributorship, sales, and commissions? Because what is normalized is ads, anonymous sales funnels, and automation. However, neither is “normal” - and I love being able to serve my community through this incredible opportunity and water, and getting compensated by a company with great ethics.
The Dark Side of MLMs vs. The Integrity of Enagic
I have to be honest - knowing MLM structures, there are countless MLMs out there that I would never recommend.
It is the MLMs where codependency reigns, and compensation is low. When your team needs to make sales for you to keep your rank, you are gonna apply pressure to them. In Enagic, you never even have to build a team to make commissions - you are independent from your team. It allows you to have the best parts of working together without being interwoven in an unhealthy way.
Most MLMs pay you very low commissions - that’s the sad reality. If you sell a shampoo, or a soap, or an oil - your compensation is quite low. To hit numbers like $3,000 in a month you have to make countless sales and you have to hustle - or settle for low income. This is not what I recommend, especially for women.
In Enagic, our compensation is proper. We can make $3,000 within just one sale once you have built up your business. That’s one person, not hundreds. That, if you ask me, feels much more sustainable and actually motivates me to show up. Let alone the true stories of people in their first year or years having $10,000 months - that’s amazing! I experienced this and it is beautiful, and something only possible because of Enagic’s specific opportunity and way of using a community-based business model that takes the best traits of this kind of model and leaves the worst.
Many MLM distributors are actually very manipulative in their sales, and honestly - this cringes me out too. Dishonesty for money is unfortunately common in our world, in many areas of society.
I personally love Enagic because people actually resonate with me. I feel their authenticity and devotion - especially within the team I am a part of and have built. I know this is rare, and I thank God daily for the gift of working within the community I started with.
I do my absolute best to share my story honestly and have conversations that some others would avoid. I am open and here to support you through all parts of your journey.
Any tool can be used for good or evil - and so can this business model.
My tip: ask questions about their values and reasons to the person you are talking to who works within an MLM-like structure. Ask them to be honest about their income, or the income of their team leaders. Ask about the downsides of the system or company - and listen. A truly authentic leader will be honest with you. A manipulator will avoid this.
What makes Enagic different, according to advocates (ChatGPTs Answer)
No monthly fees or forced subscriptions: Once you buy your machine, you’re a distributor for life — no monthly product purchases or hidden costs required to stay “active.”
High-ticket product, not consumables: Most MLMs sell low-cost consumables (supplements, makeup) that require recurring purchases. Enagic sells a medical-grade machine that lasts 15–25 years.
No breakage: You don’t lose commissions if someone in your downline out-earns you — which happens in many MLMs.
No inventory or stockpiling: You don’t have to carry or ship products yourself — the company fulfills the orders directly.
Comp plan is patent-protected: Enagic's 8-point compensation plan is proprietary and flat (not a pyramid shape), according to the company.
The Truth About Sales: Where the Money Really Comes From
Any business is connected to sales - whether you see that yet or not. Any money you ever get paid, even by an employer, is through sales of the company you work for. Whether you are selling directly or not, your work contributes to a sale - otherwise the company would not have income.
Any business you might ever want to start - to ensure it has an income - you need to learn about sales.
If we look at it neutrally, sales is how money flows in our society.
Does that feel off to you? Why do you feel off about selling a holistic wellness product such as water, but feel excited about buying the newest items on your wishlist?
There is no difference.
We are all buying and selling as a normal part of our lives. Leaning into that and owning it, learning about business and sales as sacred service, has been not only fun but deeply financially empowering for me.
Seeking the education we were never taught in school is not only important but necessary if you value income independence.

“But people make money off you.” – My experience
Back in 2021, my Water Mentor (the woman through whom I started), with whom I got close through the work we share, lived in Bali. One day she was supposed to hold a team call, and we received a message in the chat that she had had a bike accident.
Bee broke her jaw and scratched the edge of death. What followed for her was shock and uncertainty. As someone who works for herself, she was unable to work or make an income. That month, I happened to make several sales that she received passive commission from. This allowed her to relax in this incredibly stressful moment in her life.
Do you think the thought that went through my head was, “Ugh, this woman is making money off my work”? No. I cried with gratitude that I could support her - simply by doing what I was already doing to build my own project.
As I supported myself, the women who invested in me, and my upline and good friend Bee - I felt nothing but gratitude.
If the past 5 years have taught me something, it’s that there is enough to go around.
We are raised with beliefs that are toxic to a healthy money mindset. They are infiltrated into our minds to keep us separate and disempowered.
But my truth is: I was grateful for what my mentors offered me when I started, and I understood it is my turn to give in order to receive.
I also feel it is absolutely fair to receive commissions as my team makes sales - considering I provide a vast support system and mentorship for free to them so they can even make sales.
It is a give and take - and this is beautiful.
To this day, I love knowing the other incredible women above me can grow their finances through my success, and I feel deeply grateful for the freedom that receiving passive income from my team brings.
This is an “if I win, you win” kind of work path, which gives everyone a great reason to… win - and that’s the energy I want to work in.
Does Kangen Water Actually Work or Is It Just Hype?
After this being the only water I drink since 2020, helping many people with health issues overcome them, and following countless stories about how this water changed the lives of humans and their health all over the world - I have to say it almost feels disrespectful to approach this water with a questioning attitude. Nonetheless, I understand it comes up. Of course you want to know that a product you share works. While studies on holistic and natural practices and tools are unfortunately not supported by the general medical world - and the money goes into pharmaceutical research and drugs - I have lived first-line the impact of this water. Legally, I am not allowed to make any promises of anything of that sort, but I am happy to share:
The unique certifications Enagic has showing the exceptional quality of the water and products
Documentation of this water being used in hospitals before it ever was available for in-home use
Statements from doctors speaking about the power of this water
Independent studies
And testimonies from our community
Generally, it is best for you to get your own machine and have your own experience. Kangen Water is not a quick fix. It’s not a drug or a solution for a day - it is a lifelong shift you devote yourself to. Your body needs time to adjust to the water to feel the effects - I have noticed the biggest shifts after years. I am so glad I followed my intuition and the information that was shared with me - and found the one water I know is truly best for my personal body and all that it affects. And I encourage you to try the same.
Why Community-Based Business Is the Future (and Why It Works for Women)
The term I have created for our business model that resonates most is community-based business. The water is an all-connecting web - and the main difference of this work is that you work in community, not alone. You are supported by a company and their masculine structures that are solid and work. You are held by a mentor for free, and you get to mentor others. You get to serve your community through sales and service to the water - and you get to do so alongside our water family. These pillars are what we need more of in the world - especially as women. To step away from the “me me me” world, one that controls through isolation - and move into co-creation over competition.
This way of working creates so much relaxation and spaciousness - which we need more of. It allows us to conserve our energy and make an income in a very free and connective way - and that truly is what I want for the future of our world and how we make an income.
In 5 years with Enagic - growing an online following and brand, and traveling all around the world speaking to countless humans - I have not yet found any opportunity that beats this water. The different aspects of genius are very unique, and I encourage you to question society’s narrative and make up your own mind about what the core values of Enagic mean to you personally - and how they resonate. Changing your mind might change your life - like it did for me when I stopped judging Enagic as a “too good to be true MLM” and saw it for what it really is: An opportunity deeply aligned with the values I want my future to be made of.
Question the norm. Often. That’s where the freedom usually lies.
Conclusion
I’m not here to convince anyone. I’m just here to offer a wider view. One that holds the nuance. That leaves space for your own knowing. That sees how easy it is to reject something just because of the stories we’ve inherited — about sales, about money, about what’s “ethical” or “spiritual” or “too much.”
What if it’s okay to share what you love?
What if it’s okay to receive from it?
What if the business model wasn’t the problem — but the energy it was built on?
This isn’t about selling machines. It’s about sovereignty.
It’s about reimagining how we circulate wealth, how we relate to our voice, how we get paid without betraying ourselves.
If it doesn’t resonate, that’s perfect.
And if it does… welcome. There’s space for you here.
